Within its scope, the Organization created an online e-learning platform, the “Safe Water Sports Academy”, for children and adolescents from 6 to 16 years old. The educational material offered through Safe Water Sports Academy is also used by the Hellenic Coast Guard of the Ministry of Shipping for training children in primary schools all over Greece, through the approved program run by the Ministry of Education “BEWARE – LEARN – CARE”. Every year, more than 20,000 pupils of primary and secondary education are trained through the above program.
Safe Water Sports Academy mainly aims at changing the culture of children, directly resulting to the decrease in drowning occurrences and accidents, through theoretical and experiential training, awareness raising and public information, which we truly believe that shall create an excellent model for the entire Europe.
