Safe Water Sports, with the aim of educating and raising awareness among children about safety in the aquatic environment and the prevention of drownings and water-related accidents, has created Ocean Lab, a specially designed digital, educational and recreational experiential learning space.
Through a modern and interactive educational programme, students actively participate in activities that combine technology, play and knowledge, learning essential safety rules related to the sea, swimming and the wider aquatic environment.
The aim of the educational visits is to help children, from an early age, identify potential risks, understand how to respond appropriately in different situations and adopt responsible and safe behaviours when they are near or in the water.
The educational programme is implemented with the approval of the Ministry of Education and is designed for school groups.
Useful Information
- Educational visits take place from 10:00 to 12:00, following an online booking by the teacher.
- Participation in the programme is FREE OF CHARGE for all schools.
- Free transportation is provided for public schools, with the support of the programme’s sponsors and donors. For private schools, transportation costs are covered by the school.
- The school is responsible for selecting and contacting the coach/bus company. On the day of the visit, a copy of the relevant transportation invoice is required for the reimbursement process.
- The maximum number of participants is 50 students per visit, from the same age group.
- Programme duration: 120 minutes.
- In the event of a delay, the scheduled programme flow and duration cannot be adjusted.
- Each school group must be accompanied throughout the visit by at least one teacher, who is responsible for the students.
- Students may bring water and a small snack, as a 10-minute break is included during the programme.
- Changes or cancellations can be made online by the teacher.
